Owner FAQ
Answers to the most common questions from boat owners listing on our platform.
Commission & Fees
What commission does the platform charge?▾
We charge a competitive commission on each completed booking. The exact rate depends on your subscription plan and listing volume. Commission is deducted from the booking amount before your payout. You can view your current commission rate in your owner dashboard under Account Settings.
Are there any upfront costs to list my boat?▾
Creating an account and listing your boat is free. We operate on a commission model, meaning you only pay when you receive a confirmed booking. There are no monthly fees or listing fees on the standard plan. Premium plans with additional features are available for owners who want enhanced visibility and tools.
Can I offer discounts or promotions?▾
Yes. You can set early booking discounts, last-minute deals, and multi-week discounts directly from your pricing settings. These promotions are displayed on your listing and can help attract more bookings, especially during shoulder season.
Payments & Payouts
How and when do I get paid?▾
Payouts are made via bank transfer after the charter check-in date. The standard payout schedule is within 5 business days of the charter start. You will need to add your bank account details in the Payouts section of your dashboard. All payouts include a detailed breakdown of the booking amount, commission, and net payout.
What currencies are supported for payouts?▾
We support payouts in EUR, USD, GBP, and HRK. The currency is determined by your bank account details. If your bank uses a different currency than the booking, standard currency conversion applies at current exchange rates.
How is the security deposit handled?▾
You set the security deposit amount for each listing. The deposit is collected from the charterer as a credit card pre-authorization before the charter begins. After the charter, you confirm whether to release the deposit in full or request a partial or full retention due to damage. Disputed deposits are mediated by our support team.
Bookings & Calendar
How do I manage my availability?▾
Use the calendar in your owner dashboard to block dates, set check-in days, and manage turnaround times. You can also sync your calendar with external platforms via iCal import/export to avoid double bookings.
Can I decline a booking request?▾
Yes, you can decline booking requests. However, a high decline rate negatively affects your listing's search ranking. We recommend keeping your calendar up-to-date to minimize requests for dates you cannot accommodate. If you need to cancel a confirmed booking, please contact support as early as possible.
What is the cancellation policy for owners?▾
Owner-initiated cancellations are taken seriously. If you cancel a confirmed booking, the charterer receives a full refund. Repeated cancellations may result in reduced search visibility or account suspension. In cases of force majeure (mechanical failure, severe weather), contact our support team to discuss the situation.
Insurance & Liability
What insurance do I need to list my boat?▾
You must have valid hull insurance and third-party liability insurance that covers charter use. Your policy must be active for the entire period your boat is listed. Upload your insurance certificates during the listing process. For more details, see our Insurance page.
What happens if a charterer damages my boat?▾
Document any damage during the post-charter inspection with photographs and a written description. You can retain part or all of the security deposit to cover repair costs. For damage exceeding the deposit, file a claim through the platform's resolution center. We facilitate communication between you, the charterer, and the relevant insurer.
Listing Requirements
What types of boats can I list?▾
We accept catamarans, monohull sailboats, motor yachts, gulets, and other charter-suitable vessels. The boat must be in seaworthy condition, properly registered, and insured for charter use. We do not accept personal watercraft (jet skis), kayaks, or vessels without proper registration.
How long does the listing review take?▾
New listings are typically reviewed within 1-3 business days. During the review, we verify your boat information, photos, documentation, and insurance. You will receive an email notification once your listing is approved or if we need additional information.
Can I list a boat in multiple locations?▾
Yes. If your boat operates from different bases at different times of year, you can configure multiple home ports in your listing settings. Make sure to update your calendar to reflect which base the boat will be at for each period.
